The Grati Standard
Recipients are not expected to embody every standard. They should clearly demonstrate one or more through their actions, character, or contributions.
A Grati recipient:
• Has made a meaningful positive difference in the lives of others
• Has contributed to making the world better — globally or within a single community
• Inspires others through actions rather than recognition
• Demonstrates character worthy of appreciation
• Creates lasting positive impact
• Enriches the human experience
• Reflects the spirit of the Grati Award
Recipient Selection Principles
• Recognition is based solely on meaningful positive impact
• Never based on fame, popularity, wealth, influence, or public status
• Every contribution is considered on its own merit
• Large and small acts are equally worthy
• Recognition is independent — free from voting, campaigns, or outside influence
• Public suggestions are welcomed and carefully considered, but do not guarantee an award
• Authenticity is valued above publicity
• Each recipient is honored for their unique contribution, never compared to others
• The process remains faithful to the Charter
